People often ask me what the greatest souvenir is that I’ve brought back from my travels. My answer is always the same: it isn’t something I could pack in a suitcase. It is a completely new perspective on life.
Having explored more than 50 countries as a single mother, my journey has been about so much more than checking destinations off a bucket list. Moving between my Thai roots and my life in Denmark, I used to feel divided between two worlds. But traveling the globe taught me that having two cultures is a gift—it means being a bridge that connects them.
Standing in crowded Asian markets, walking through quiet European villages, and meeting people from completely different backgrounds opened my eyes. I realized that despite our different languages, traditions, and lives, we all share the exact same hopes, dreams, and need for love.
Travel taught my children curiosity and respect. But most importantly, it taught me that home isn’t just a physical place on a map. Home is found wherever love exists, and the most beautiful narratives are the ones we leave behind in the hearts of the people we meet along the way.
