A friend recently asked me an honest question: “Anni, why are you writing this book? You are always so optimistic. Maybe you won’t be able to sell it, and maybe no one will buy it.” My answer to that is simple: Yes, I am optimistic. I am a deeply positive person, and I have always been that way. I always try to see the good in people, I always hope the world can become a better place, and I always want to reach out my hand to those who need help.

For me, this book project is not about how many copies I can sell or how much money I can make. It is about something much bigger: it is about hope. I want to give people a little piece of hope that there are still beautiful places, kind souls, and magical traditions in this world. I want to spread hope through sharing the beauty of nature, life, and all the incredible possibilities we still have ahead of us.

I truly believe that hope is one of the strongest forces we have as human beings. As long as we have hope, we can take action. As long as we take action, we can create change. And as long as we believe that something can become better, we can help make it happen. My book, “The Denmark I Want to Remember,” is my way of putting that beautiful energy out into the universe.
